Sunday Summary ... Boredom is a curious thing! & I NEED YOUR HELP!

Hey Ladies,

So the title may suggest I have been rather bored this week, not having a job causes me to speak into a camera & upload them on to YouTube (who knew!) & have some really crazy dreams (one involved me biting my cousin for trying to play on my Nintendo!)

So the summary of my week has been ...

Me + Sleep + Good Skin - Stress = Little Miss Sunshine!

Blogging & YouTubing my arse off - Loving having the time to be able to make YouTube videos and getting through my list of blog posts i've been wanting to do for ages but never having time to do the leg work.

Getting excited about Makeup Again - I think skin care is my speciality, I absolutely love learning about ingredients & the latest products & testing them out but at the moment I'm satisfied in that area so my focus has been about Makeup, I was requested to record my favourite High Street makeup for a video & having looked through my stash of makeup I realised there's not many that I have/enjoy from the High Street, so my current mission is to find High Street products that I love & can recommend. I cannot wait for my trip to Boots, so recommend me your favourites for me to try out, the only thing I don't need help with is mascara!

Organisation & Prettyfication - Boredom = sorting out room whilst videos are uploading, I have moved round my room & now looking for items to make my room look nicer, I am going to be ordering a Banksy piece of art work for my wall & I'm looking for some nice glass containers for my cotton buds & cotton pads so if you know anywhere get recommending!

Nail Experiments - I am currently in the middle of my 1st UV Gel polish trial & it's getting me excited for growing my nails & having chip free nail polish, this means I am spending fortunes in my head but so far being strong & not ordering things until I am back in a job!!

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend & aren't dreading Monday too much, check out my Blog sale page I reduced the price of items just so I can get them all sent off & out of my newly organised room!!
Get recommending storage sites & High Street Makeup to try out!!

FOTD: Time with My Aunt & Bottles of Wine

Hey Ladies,

Last night my Aunt rescued me from my boredom & kept me company as we shared a bottle or two of wine watched the Sex & The City films & fell asleep on the sofa!

Ma Hurr!

Blouse - Topshop
Vest - Topshop
Jeggings - Asda

What I used

L'Oreal Studio Secrets Primer
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
MUFE Full Cover Concealer
Benefit Erase Paste
Bare Minerals Mineral Veil
Chanel Soilei Tan De Chanel Powder
Mac Studio Fix Powder
Mac Ripe Peach Blush Ombre

No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Samby-De Loves Me
The Body Shop Trio Eyeshadow in Sundown Glow - Light & medium shades just mixed together on the lid.
Topshop Pen Liner in Black

The Body Shop Colourglide lipstick in 56 Soft Beige

So there you have it, loving the pen liners at the moment, they're so much quicker than gel liners & I've finally found two that don't smudge on me, hallelujah!!  Hope you're having a lovely weekend, I've spent the morning having a lovely breakfast (but very expensive ... £7 for a sausage sandwich!) and shopping with my aunt, I saw my Nana & Grandad & then been at home eating Pancakes (has pancake Tuesday passed me by?) & watched a bit of Rugby! Lovely!!

Celebrity Makeup: The Good & The Oh So Bad!

Hey Ladies,

So being award season I have been looking at some of the makeup on the red carpet & I can't believe how wrong some celebrities can get it! Don't they have makeup artists & MIRRORS??

Is there a look this girl cannot pull off, red hair with pink eyeshadow & berry lips should be a no no but she makes it look great! I personally love the cropped hair with the blue cat eye liner & bright pink lips ... I feel a Rihanna inspired look coming on!

Mila Kunis
She just appears so effortless & stylish, she must wear a smokey eye on the red carpet every time yet I'm not bored of it & more importantly she doesn't over do it (see below)

Eva Longoria
The word trowel comes to mind, her foundation always looks piled on to me like it would crack if she moved any muscles in her face, I can't believe she's the face of L'oreal.

Kim Kardasian
I have to admit I'm lucky enough to have never been exposed to her (wrong wording since I know she made a sex tape but I'm talking her tv show) but from gossip sites she seriously piles on the foundation & concealer & black shadow & eyelashes. I've seen her without makeup & she looks so much better!

Katie Price
No words I think are required she manages to look like a man in drag & she's a woman, a woman who drives me batty through self promotion & pimping the kids out to any magazine who'll buy it. Back to the makeup just awful!

Christina Aguilera
These pics speak for themselves, she went through a classy stage at some point & I wish she'd bring it back because even now with her crazy bloated face she wears far too much slap.

Maybe from the above you may get the impression less is more & I really truly believe this is the key in makeup, if you're wearing a smokey eye go with a foundation as sheer as you can get away with, if you're bronzing up the skin keep the rest of the makeup light & summery, if you're going for a strong lip keep the eyes simple with some well placed liner. Are you all with me, who's your worst repeat offender for wearing too much makeup?

NOTD: Chanel Particuliere

Hey Ladies,

Ditching the press on nails means more regular NOTD's for you, today's offering is from Chanel.

I loves it so much! The bottle makes it look like a chocolate brown but when it's on the nails it's so much more than that it is a grayish chocolate brown really interesting and beautiful. On top I used a UV gel top coat so it's a little experiment at the same time to see how long it stays on with the top coat, it's certainly is super shiny!!

Hope you're having a lovely week & looking forward the weekend. Are you a fan of Chanel polishes? If so what shades? I know i'm not a fan of the price!! ... £17.20!!!

FOTD: Date Night - Bright Pink Lips!

Hey Ladies,

Another FOTD for you now, today is bright pink lip day! (my Boyfriend's favourite!) I kept it simple on the eye with a peachish gold eyeshadow & black liner & went for bright pink on the lips. I am so happy with my skin at the moment when I zoomed in for the first time in a long time I didn't wish I could retouch my skin! You can see my Skin Care routine here! I am even happier about my eyebrows, 2 years ago they were thin, blonde & patchy and now they are thick full & brown to the point where I didn't use any brow product in them for the 1st time ever!

My Hurrr!
What I used:

RMK Creamy Foundation
Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer
Mac Studio Fix Powder
Mac Ripe Peach Blush
Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel powder

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Benefit Creasless Cream Shadow in Samba-de loves me
Lily Lolo Eyeshadow in Honey Peach
Stage Line Precision liner in Black
No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara

Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Titivate

And that's that! :) on another note I bought that jumper I was lusting after earlier, I have no will power!!! Hope you've all had a lovely day, i've got an evening of playing old skool Nintendo against my boyfriend!!

Free Next Day Delivery At Asos Til Tuesday! My Picks!

Hey Ladies,

I thought i'd let you know that if you want free next day delivery on Asos, now's the time to get shopping as they're offering it all week until Tuesday! So get shopping, I thought I'd share some of my favourite picks I've seen with you!

Top Row

Vila Mohair Blend Slouchy Knit - £35.00

Perfect for casual dressing with a long vest top & jeggings, I seriously want this jumper but can't justify it if I don't have a job :( It is everything I've been looking for in a slouchy jumper)

Warehouse Pointelle Hook & Eye Cardigan - £40

This is a great little cardigan to own during spring, a gorgeous peachy nude will go with many outfits & keep you warm if it gets chilly.

Mango Butterfly Shirt - £34.90

These chiffon shirts are great for the office and for casual wear I have a couple & this is so pretty.

Bottom Row

ASOS Pleated Skirt Cute Collar Dress - £25

How cheap is this? and it's so cute, It wouldn't suit my body shape as it would cling to my hips but for other shapes it would look to die for, it comes in blue as well which is just as nice.

Warehouse Floral Hitch Dress - £38

My perfect kind of dress, girly and floral that you could dress up or down pair it with the Warehouse cardigan and cute little flats & you're on to a winner!

Staple Boudicca Swing Tank Top- £75

Slightly more expensive but this would look great with dark blue skinny jeans & patent black heels for a night out with the girls the detail means you don't have to worry about accessorising just a killer ring would do!

So those are my favourite picks I found, I could spend a fortune at Asos as you could probably tell! and it makes me sad that I can't have that jumper! :( You don't need a promotional code so get shopping & let me know if you find any good buys!!

NOTD: Topshop Big Smoke

Hey Ladies,

It's been ages since I've been posting NOTD's (mainly because i've had the press on nails on) Today I took them off & painted them in a shade I was Obsessing over a few weeks ago.

This is a great addition to my griege polishes (I think I have a problem as I have more of these shades than fingers or toes to apply them to) Its on the lighter side of a greyish chocolate, the formulation is kind of gloopy and so difficult to apply so I have a feeling there will be some difficulty in keeping it on, no biggie though, love the shade so happy to keep applying!!

Hope you're all having a lovely week so far, check out my new video of my skin care routine that I uploaded!!

Product of The Week!

Hey Ladies,

Unless you've been without a television or the internet for the past month you will have heard about Pantene Pro-V 's new Colour Protect product Colour Seal Conentrate. Well I was rather eager to get my hands on the stuff after hearing some very good things that had been said about it, I waited til the launch date & couldn't find it anywhere, I still bloody can't! I have tried 3 Boots, 2 Superdrugs & a Tesco in 2 different towns & no sign of it! Thankfully Pantene hearing of my struggles on Twitter felt pity on me & sent me one to try.

They Say:

'The patented active system helps repair signs of damage of coloured hair. It restores your hair's natural waterproof qualities so that colour molecules won't get washed away that easily. This way, your coloured is protected for up to 8 weeks.'

Now I don't know about the colour being protected for up to 8 weeks because I only used it last night but I can say as a deep conditioner it's excellent. My hair feels silky, soft and not weighed down at all, the ends appear healthier and the colour of my hair does appear a little brighter. I'd say if you had red hair to give this a try as the colour washes out very quickly but for generally damaged hair I'd say try this regardless if your hair has been coloured or not.

The price point is excellent at £3.99 a tube, cheap for a deep conditioner, the tube isn't huge but if you use it once a week I think it should last a decent amount of time if you've not got masses of hair. I certainly will be buying a tube if I could get my hands on the bleeding stuff!!

Hope you're having a lovely week so far, I had a total fail filming a tutorial today as my camera wasn't recording for the end of the video! ah well!!

Want Flawless Skin? b•liv by Cellnique Review

Hey Ladies,

I was approached by b•liv about a month ago to try out some of their items, well out of the three I was sent I have been using two of them (I stuck with my regular moisturiser instead of the Oil Leviate I was sent, I am going to experiment with using over my moisturiser as a mattifyer & will let you know the results)

First of all my skin is oily over the T-Zone & dry in places particularly around the mouth, after a bad bout of dry skin a year ago I swore I'd never use any harsh skin care again, well these products promised so much I decided to have a sabbatical on my new skin care principles (I'm fickle like that).

First of all I started using the Squeaky Clean Cleanser which is a funny looking green gel filled with tiny beads.
They say:

'This ultra-gentle exfoliating cleansing gel added with micro-beads helps you kick out impurities and remove excessive oil. The cleanser lets you say ‘hi” to clean pores and “bye” to those heads by making blackheads and whiteheads removal simple'

First of all the smell is really fresh and mentholly (if that's a word) which is great in the morning to get you woken up or if you've got a cold. Initially I thought it would dry my skin out but having used it for about a month I have to say it hasn't at all, which may be to do with the fact that I stuck with my regular moisturiser but my skin doesn't feel stripped after using it. I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin but if you have normal to combination or oily skin this would be great for you, it has reduced the oil in my T-Zone significantly without drying out the rest of my skin.

It's priced at $25 which I think is a very reasonable price just be aware you would need a separate eye make-up remover with this it would probably sting your eyes, as I use the double cleansing method with an oil based cleanser to remove makeup it was easy to fit into my routine.

After using the cleanser for a week without any troubles from it I proceeded to use the treatment they sent me Off With Those Heads
They Say:

'Say goodbye to painful squeezing! This light cooling gel promises to remove stubborn blackheads and whiteheads painlessly in just 14 days of application and stop them from appearing ever again. It keeps excessive oil secretion under control and skin irritation will never rule again.'

It is a clear gel that you apply to your face after cleansing, I love the mentholly peppermint smell & along with the cooling sensation it really wakes you up & opens up your lungs. I don't know about the claim of blackheads & Whiteheads never appearing again, but I can confirm that the reduction in the blackheads & whiteheads on my face has been truly significant. I am not rid of everything yet but this problem has been going on for years, yes foundation basically covers them but when I have no makeup on I am conscious of them so never go out without makeup, the combination of this & the cleanser has truly managed to rid me of 80% of my skin troubles. I absolutely love the stuff and now will not be without it, I haven't had any spots appearing since I started using the Off With Those Heads either double bonus! (although I don't get too many of them)

It costs $49 for 30mls which isn't quite expensive but isn't cheap but I am definitely going to be buying it when my current tube runs out, I really feel it has made a difference to my skin.

I now really want to try the products designed for large pores & just to let you know b•liv have free worldwide shipping if you were worried about the shipping costs, check them out on Facebook.

If you've got any questions follow me on Twitter & ask away!! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend, I shall be filming some YouTube videos tomorrow so let me know if you've got any requests!

Yes I was sent these products but I wouldn't be talking about them to you if I didn't use them & love them! It never affects my opinion!!

Sunday Summary ... Very late!

Hey ladies,
Here's my very late Sunday Summary or early if you like!

(This pic was totally screen shot on my iPhone from my aunts Facebook ... Hence the black top & bottom)

1. Family time! What a week of family time I've had. My mum & step dad came home for the week from Spain for my Nan's 80th birthday (see pic, isn't she so Nanarish, with my dad & 2 brothers) we also had my step brothers & dads & mums birthdays to celebrate (any excuse for a drink) I ate A LOT! & drank likewise. (not as much as my brother who was sick out of his bedroom window! & who will kill me if he reads this! For clarification he's the more sensible looking one in the light blue shirt & 2 masters degrees in physics, cosmology & astronomy)

2. My skin! After a bit of trouble with it recently I was sent something which I am convinced is working. I see the pr contacting me is an act of god (ya'know if I believed in him but whatever!) at the moment it is free of any troubles, no spots, dry patches & I haven't had my blackheads be destroyed like this before! (all shall be revealed soon)

3. Adele - if you haven't bought get album yet, WHY? it is as good as everyone says I love 95% of the songs which is very rare for me. A couple just reduce me to serious crying, she seems to sing about heartbreak better than just about anyone!

4. Shopping - I think this is usually on my list, I've made a few cheeky purchases from Topshop, a new perfume addition, & the beginning of my new nail obsession of long wearing gel polishes (shellac etc) I will be trying & testing all the different systems to let you know which I think is the best! (plus I get lots of nice colours because individually most Systems are pap for colour choice!!

I hope you've all been well & behaving yourselves, I will be back to normal blogging from now & hopefully have time for a few YouTube videos to be filmed. If you've got any requests let me know so I can do a few!
