Tonight I saw the new brushes Mac are releasing in the Semi-Precious collection & just had to share my thoughts on them.

Basically they all have one side natural bristle and one side synthetic, under the presumption that natural brushes are best for powder products and synthetic brushes best for liquid & cream products
First of all I think they look incredibly odd like the frankenstein of brushes and secondly I can't see any of them getting any use on a regular basis except perhaps the 235 which would be good for using my beloved Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows with the synthetic side & then going over with an eyeshadow with the natural bristle side.
When I initially saw the 128 brush it looked lovely & just my kind of brush natural bristle side up that is (& very much like my coveted Shu Uemura foundation brush) I was definitely making a mental purchase until I saw the very familiar traditional foundation brush synthetic side.
So what do you think they will be like? A jack of all trades, master of nothing is my feelings but I am waiting to be proven wrong.
