NOTD: Nails Inc Porchester Square

Hey Ladies,

It has been a while since I posted a new nail polish shade, I recently removed my gel extensions which means more NOTD's (hopefully) I purchased this shade just before Christmas & it's taken til now to wear it & I have to say it's quickly become a favourite!

Nails Inc Porchester Square
It is such a lovely shade, if I had to describe it i'd say it was a beige with a hint of lilac. I love these type of griege shades as they're so versatile & look completely different in different lights, they also go with everything.

Is it worth the £11 rrp? I'd definitely say yes, there are loads of different darker griege shades on the market but lighter ones not so much so it is quite unique and the formulation is great, you can get away with one coat & the shade is lighter but the more coats you add the darker it gets.

For the most part if you're considering purchasing a higher end nail polish I wouldn't bother purchasing classic reds, blacks and pinks etc because nail polishes on the high street have really upped their games & the quality for very basic shades means you can get them relatively inexpensively these days. If however you are looking for a more unique shade I would say investing in a higher end polish would be wise as it wont be anything you can purchase in a lower end brand, for example Illamasqua Jo'mina is the most unique purple i've ever come across & totally un-dupable to my knowledge so therefore definitely worth the £13.

Well that's my advice anyway, what are your favourite unique shades?

REVIEW: Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipsticks

Hey ladies,

When the new Bourjois Rouge Edition lipsticks turned up at my door I was in my element, I resisted the traditional hand swatch & thought I'd treat you to lip swatches! WARNING: do not attempt this at home all at once like me, it results in VERY sore lips.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipsticks *

They are really lovely lipsticks; nicely pigmented & creamy on the lips. My favourite red lipstick of all time is the NARS Dragon Girl Velvet Matte Lip Pencil one drawback is that it is matte and so if my lips are chapped or dry its a no no, these however you could wear if your lips are a bit worse for wear as they are so creamy.

I think my favourites are Fraise Remix and Rouge Buzz as they're so bright, there are 18 shades in the range so you're bound to find a shade that suites you whether it be a wearable every day shade or a bold statement shade.

Available now from Selfridges and from February at all Bourjois stands, rrp £7.99 each

Which shade would you go for?

REVIEW: Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins

Hey Ladies,

I've been changing up my skincare recently & thought it was about time I review some of them for you all. First up my current night cream of choice from Origins.

Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins
The High-Potency Night-A-Mins moisturiser uses time-release resurfacers alongside vitamin C, E & H to brighten up your skin whilst you sleep. After one use I could see the difference in my skin, it looked brighter, healthier & more plump. It smells absolutely lovely and is designed to sooth you to sleep personally it just makes me want to eat chocolate oranges but then again I could get to sleep in the blitz.

Although I have been using this nightly for over a month I think it may be best to save it for one or two nights a week or when your skin is looking dull & sallow as it is a great pick me up & then use a regular night cream the rest of the time because it is very potent which could be too much for some skins every night.

One thing I do really appreciate from Origins is that their moisturisers come in oil free options and so if you want the benefits of the brightening & resurfacing from this line for example but have oily skin there is an option for this, personally I found my skin absorbed this instantly but in summer an oil free version might be something I would invest in.

I definitely recommend this if your skin needs a pick me up & you're not into wearing an overnight face mask as this pretty much is an overnight facial. It is widely available in department stores or from Origins & rrp is £33 for 50mls.

Any new skin care items floating your boats after the overindulging season?
