REVIEW: Yves Rocher Youth Intensifier Serum

Yves Rocher Youth Intensifier Serum *
Serum's have become a major player in my everyday skincare routine over the last few years and I've been trying a few out over the past few months so expect them to pop up now and then; I have also been getting loads of requests for a skincare routine so I will try my best to bring back my illustrious YouTube career and record a video this weekend for you.

Yves Rocher isn't a brand I've tried before so I thought a serum would be a great way to get the feel for the brand as I find them the most effective element in a skincare routine.

"With a higher concentration of active ingredients than a regular skincare product, this serum is a powerful and very effective with a light and penetrating texture."

This is such a lovely serum for people with normal to oily skin, its wonderfully light and absorbs instantly so a great addition to a morning routine as it won't effect the makeup applied over the top.

Since using it I've noticed my skin has been more radiant and the tone of my skin has become more even, in terms of texture it seems a lot smoother and softer and generally more healthy looking.

For £36 (Link) I am very impressed with the results and how quickly I noticed them, this is a great serum to add into your routine if you're just dipping your toes into serums and anti ageing products because it is just no nonsense and works perfectly.

REVIEW: Astrid and Miyu June Secret Box

I am slowly but surely trying to expand my jewellery collection, simplicity is the way to go for me and I have been eyeing up a few pieces on the Astrid & Miyu site and when the Secret Box was available to purchase I thought i'd take the plunge and order it.

The Secret Box is available every three months for a limited time, you sign up and submit your payment and then complete a short survey about the type of jewellery you like etc and your box gets dispatched to you.

I was very happy to see a dainty necklace in my selection and the tiny ring of 'diamonds' on a gold chain is just perfect for my mission to layer necklaces.

The 'N' ring is a gorgeous rose gold adjustable ring so you can fit it to any of your fingers, it's not a ring I could wear every day as it does tend to get caught in my hair!

The 'bonus' item is a pair of foldable sunglasses, they are a great shape that most people would suit and definitely ones to pop in the handbag if you don't want to take your best sunglasses somewhere for example on the beach or watermark.

Overall I am impressed by what I received and will continue to subscribe to the box as it is a great way of trying a couple of their items for £39 (Link) which is less than you would pay individually for the items.

Birchbox: June 2014

Unless you've been living under a rock you will know that it's that time where women lose their men to the TV for a few weeks and finally have a bit of peace and quiet thanks to the World Cup and I think Birchbox are trying to encourage women to appreciate that it can be for everyone with this months themed box.

Each product comes from a county competing and yet again I am not disappointed by the selection;

Beauty Blender & Cleanser- I LOVE my Beauty Blender and have reviewed it (Link) it just is a fantastic tool for application of foundation, concealer and powder so I am more than happy to have another, the addition of the cleanser was more than welcome as I have wanted to try it out to see if it is worth the purchase.

Caudalîe Divine Oil - I have heard so much about this product and I'm a huge fan of Caudalîe so looking forward to trying this multipurpose oil which can be used on the face, hair and body.

Embryolisse Lait-Créme Concentrate - I used this for a very long time and although mineral oil is the main ingredient if my skin is playing up I know I can count on this to calm it down, for this reason I will always have a tube but don't tend to use it regularly.

OPI Nail Lacquer - I have a lot of nail polish .... a LOT however I don't have a yellow nail polish so it will be interesting to see what it looks like on my nails, I do currently have a tan from my holiday so it's now or never!

Silk + Honey Shea Butter Hair Mask - From good old Blighty this hair mask is a welcome sight as I've recently had my ombré removed (majorly missing it) so had a tonne of bleach added to my hair so all the hair masks in the world are welcome this way (if anyone has any recommendations let me know!)

The bonus 'Lifestyle' addition is a flip flop keyring in the Brazilian colours, a perfect gift for the footballing fan in your life! I am currently sat watching my second game of the day and loving it, but the Birchbox makes it all the better!! I mean the BeautyBlender is £16 on it's own so the value of this month's box is fantastic, you can subscribe to Birchbox here (Link)
