Skin Care Additions: Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum

Another Skin Care Addition post for you and this product is one I think every skin type can benefit from and you see the differences very quickly.

The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum is the perfect serum for both the day and night, it is lightweight and non greasy or sticky so perfect under makeup and due to the hyaluronic acid it will magnify the night cream you apply over the top at night.

Most people will have dehydrated skin at some point and I definitely suffer a lot with it and when I do my skin looks dull and my pores look very sallow and enlarged, using this serum twice a day my skin has seen the last of it's dehydrated days with the intense boost in moisture my skin is firmer and any dry patches gone, also a big bonus is my pores appear a lot smaller as my skin is lovely and plump.

The inclusion of Vichy's Thermal Water make this a very quick absorbing and cooling serum so it's fantastic at soothing irritation which makes it perfect for sensitive and angry spotty skin to just calm everything down as well as increase the overall hydration of the skin.

I would recommend this to anyone and everyone, for such an effective product the price point is fantastic plus it's on offer a lot e.g. Boots 3 for 2 and Escentual's French Pharmachy promotions so you can stock up on it when they're on offer. You can currently get it from Escentual for £18.70 (Link) and I can't recommend it enough, it leaves you with plump happy skin and let's face it who doesn't want that!

Skin Care Additions: Caudalîe Glycolic Peel Mask

I wanted to start a new on going feature about products you can slip into your skin care routine that really pack a punch and can make a huge difference to the quality of your skin. So over the next few months I will share some of my new discoveries and some firm favourites that will kick the life back into your skin.

Caudalîe have recently introduced a new line of masks to their product range which are both effective and also fairly friendly on the purse so I wanted to start this series with their Glycolic Peel mask.

I am a huge advocate of using acids in skin care whether they are natural fruit acids or some serious lab chemicals and although products you can get 'over the counter' can't replicate the results of an actual chemical peel they can make a tremendous difference in the texture and quality of the skin and the results are pretty immediate.

The Glycolic Peel mask is a very gentle treatment so suitable for most people who have a dull complexion and need an instant pick me up, it would be great for guys as well as women as there's no smell to it whatsoever (I don't know many men who would put up with a mask for 10 minutes that smelt of roses).

The results you notice immediately with your skin looking fresh and brighter and it feels so much softer, if you follow up with a good moisturiser your skin by morning will look and feel completely renewed.

Available from Escentual for £22.00 (Link) which I think is a very reasonable price for such an effective treatment.
