AUGUST FAVOURITES

How is it nearly September? My life seems to be in fast forward and it needs to just stop already.

@narsissist Velvet Matte Tint - I have spoken about this a few times and have a full review on instagram if you go back, I've been using for the past couple of months as my base and I remembered why I loved it so much. It's lightweight, easy to apply and lasts 12 hours on my oily skin, coverage wise it's a light medium and dries down to a beautiful velvet matte that doesn't make you look like you have anything on. We reconnected, and I think it's for life now ... until the @itcosmeticspr CC Matte comes out.

@revitalashuk Mascara - This is a two-step mascara and I think the magic comes from the bright blue primer, the first time I used it I actually said out loud 'wow' it lengthens my lashes like nothing I've ever used and curls them magically and the mascara step is super black and thickening with no smudging or flaking. I am not usually an expensive mascara user but with the conditioners that are in the formula and the results it gives me that stance might have to bend to this offering plus a potion of the sales goes to Breast Cancer research all year round which is a good excuse to purchase.

@blueskynailgelpolish Gel Polish QXG080- Whenever I use this shade I get so many questions because it's a perfect rosey nudey blush shade and I love it. The formulation is good, applies easily and it performs as it should for a gel polish.

@candy.coat No. 203 - Another gel polish I know but again this shade is amazing, it's a muted sage green and is opaque in one coat which I was very impressed with. Their shade offering is brilliant and I’m about to purchase my 4th colour.

@pixibeautyuk Jasmine Oil Blend - I love this oil, it's so calming and hydrating so if I've overdone the microneedling I use this in my routine and it fixes everything. It is formulated jasmine flower extract and grapeseed oil which are full of omegas and antioxidants to help protect the skin and it just leaves me with calm happy glowing skin. REVIEW: @neutrogenauk Hydro Boost Hydrogel Recovery Mask

I seem to focus my sheet mask reviews on obscure korean masks that are a pain to get hold of so I thought I'd review some high street brands that are accessible and affordable.

Claims: A proven super hydrator made from 100% hydrogel enriched with HA and delivering the equivalent of one 30ml bottle of serum to your skin.

Price: £3.50

Suitable For: Dehydrated, Dry, Normal, Oily Skins.

Thoughts: I really enjoyed this mask, the introduction of a hydrogel mask to the high street is a welcome one as I love them and not many brands make them, in general I find them more hydrating because they don't dry out as the essence is absorbed by your skin, so you can keep them on longer.

The Hydroboost mask is like a drink for the skin, it hydrates and plumps and fits perfectly as it comes in two separate pieces that clings to your skin without moving around. I think Neutrogena played down their formulation by only describing it containing HA, this mask has a couple of great ingredients which are higher in the ingredient list like seaweed extract, a skin conditioner which is also packed with vitamins and minerals and snow fungus, a supposedly superior naturally occurring hyaluronic acid which also supresses melanin helping with pigmentation.

This is a great addition to Neutrogena’s Hydroboost family and there are two other sheet masks in the range if hydration isn't your main concern, this is a quick pick me up for the skin when it's in need of a treat and is so easy to get hold of in a skin-mergency. REVIEW: @BeGlow_uk Tia - 20% off

I am a big believer in not only treating your skin with products but with tools too, the TIA from BeGlow has been a great addition to my routine.

Claims: The device uses sonic dual phase technology delivering low and high frequency pulsations to help cleanse, lift and tone the complexion.

Price: £199.00

Suitable For: All ages and skin types

Thoughts: I use the cleansing brush side every night when I wash my face and not only is it so relaxing to massage with your cleanser after a long day I have really noticed my skin is less congested around my nose and chin as it can really get into the crevices and de-clogg anything that could cause congestion.

The tool’s opposite side has the contouring and firming plate and I use in my routine after I have applied my oil as it gives the metallic plate a good slip enabling it to massage better, you can definitely feel the difference using it on the contours or your face as everything just feels firmer and tighter. Another great use for the Tia is when i'm using a sheet mask, I press the firming plate on top of the mask to push the essence into my skin and give myself a face massage which amplifies the results of the mask.

I love this device and it is worth the splurge for someone looking to step up their skin care game and this does everything you need, it’s rechargeable so you don’t have to worry about batteries and I hardly need to charge it as it has such a great capacity. Definitely a thumbs up from me and it’s currently available from @lookfantastic with 20% off with the code: 20SKIN (not sponsored, i just found it when looking for stockists) #skincare #beglow #cleansingdevice #antiaging #skincareroutine #blogpost
