You must know by now that I love me a liquid lipstick, I would go as far to say I prefer them to actual lipsticks and seeing them filter down from the high end market to the more purse friendly brands pleases me no end.
Bourjois' release of their Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks couldn't come sooner as the ones I've thus far tried from lower priced brands haven't been too impressive however I was promised by a fellow Blogger Farah (Link) they were good and she never lets me down.
I want to shout from the roof tops how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE frigging chigging LOVE these lip products; they apply beautifully, they are relatively inexpensive and last so well on the lips.
The 24 hour claim is totally bogus of course unless the test subject went without food, drink or talking for the day (poor cow) and why anyone would want a lippy to last 24 hours is beyond me either way they last a good amount of time, through coffee's and lunch and fade really nicely and unlike some other very pricey lip lacquer's they don't get this weird crumbly texture in the centre after a few hours of nattering with a coffee.
The reason these are totes amazeballs (to quote my managing director's phrase of the day) is because they are beyond featherweight, when they set to a lovely velvet look they don't feel like you have anything on the lips whatsoever whereas other liquid lipsticks when they dry feel tight on your lips. Another reason these are the fashizzle is that you can reapply this without it looking like shit for lack of a better word; I've tried lip lacquers which were nearly triple the price and you could do one quick swipe and then nothing else if it faded then you had to remove the whole thing and start again with these bad boys you don't.
My only negatives are that you might be better off with a lip liner underneath the more bolder shades to achieve a nice sharp lip line as they can be a little tricky to make neat and tidy with a doe foot applicator and the other is the shade range isn't comprised of 79 different shades of slightly different orangey/red hues but I can't hold that against them.
I have Peach Club (Lovely pinky peach standard day time shade, I enjoy patting it into my lips for a hint of colour), Hot Pepper (Amazing orangey red, I am loyal to this for life as a day time bold lip as it's so easy to reapply and always looks lovely) and Personne De Rouge (a deeper warm red, gorgeous for nighttime).
Peach Club is perfection! The finish is lovely x
