REVIEW: NUXE Merveillance Range

Thursday 16 October 2014

You know I love me some skincare and It's probably the element of beauty blogging which gets me the most excited; I always preach 'there's no point spending lots of money on makeup if you don't look after your skin' so when I receive a whole skin care collection to try out it makes me more excited than a kid at Christmas.

The Nuxe Merveillance Expert range released last month is designed to reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles and plump up the skin, now I might only be 28 so no major wrinkles but I sure could do with the plumping so was happy to give this collection a test run and thought I'd share my top picks.

Merveillance Expert Serum rrp £39.00 (£26 at Feel Unique (Link))
This is a lovely serum to use as it so light and easily absorbs into the skin so perfect during the day under makeup. The serum has a tightening effect which lasts up to 8 hours so again great for the day time and I can really feel this effect working and my face looks a bit skinner for the day! Longer term effects have seen my skin tone looking brighter, more even and any dark patches on my skin where I have had blemishes faded really well so I can see this being fantastic to lighten dark spots.

Merveillance Expert Eye Contour Cream rrp £29.00 (£19.31 at LookFantastic (Link))
My eye area is definitely the problem area on my face, my dark circles are pretty horrendous no matter how much sleep I get or how much water I drink and I tend to get very dry under my eyes too so eye creams are an essential part of my routine. The Nuxe eye cream manages to hydrate without being greasy or heavy and because everything is so hydrated your eye area looks smoother and plumper (without looking puffy of course) and I have noticed how much brighter it appears without the cream having any optical brighteners in the formula.

Mervelliance Expert Night Cream rrp £38.00 (£25.31 at LookFantastic (Link))
When the weather transitions from Summer to Autumn my skin tends to get really dry all of a sudden so this cream has been serving me well. it's described on the pot as a Regenerating cream and I totally agree; it’s a very thick luxurious cream but isn't at all greasy so doesn't sit on the skin it absorbs very quickly and when you wake up in the morning your skin looks plump, feels as soft as silk and your makeup glides on.

I think this range is fantastic for those with aging skin and particularly if you have more oily skin as the formulations are really great at hydrating without being heavy or greasy, also the actual products smell so nice they're a joy to apply. Price wise I think the range is really reasonable for effective anti aging skin care and so if you don't want to pay ridiculous amounts on your skincare routine I really recommend the Nuxe Merveillance Expert range.
