Last month I popped
down to the RMK counter in Selfridges Manchester to learn about the new collection and have my
makeup done using the new products. If you have read my blog for a while you'll
know my love for the skin care and makeup from RMK and I think Lucy who did my
makeup was quite surprised when I was reeling off the list of products I use
from the brand as most people haven't heard much about it.
I had a good hour of
makeup removing, moisturising, priming, makeup-ing and learnt about all the new
range and products in their existing line (my shopping list has expanded quite
a bit!) and I took away some of the products and my face chart so thought I'd try
and recreate the look at home.
The new reformulated Creamy Foundation (Link) was applied and the finish of it is lovely for the coming months
as it has a lovely glow to it and as skin tends to be more dry in the winter
you can get away with a bit more shine than the summer, like the original it is
incredibly light on the skin but the coverage is lovely and is definitely
buildable in the areas you might need it.
Lucy then started
work on my eyes with the new Matte Shiny Eyes (Link) in the Bronze shade, this duo
crayon and shadow is seriously great for your makeup bag and I've used mine
everyday since I got it as it's so quick and easy. I apply the crayon side up
to my crease then blend with my finger as it's so effortless and I use the
shadow side patted over the crayon. The effect is lovely bronzed eyes which are
so sparkly and definitely (dare I say it) one for the Christmas party paired
with a black winged liner, the lasting power is excellent as well so great for
everyday use I think I might get another colour too because they're just such an easy option.
A good lashing of
mascara is always needed when there's no liquid liner involved in an eye look
and the new Matte mascara (Link) doesn't disappoint, it is like mega lashes, long and
volumised in a jiffy and the brown shade RMK offer I love as it brings such
warmth to the eyes.
The final touch was
the stunning Matte Shiny Cheeks Power (Link) of Love blushes, there are four to choose
from and of course I chose the peach, I took home the Natural Bronze shade and
it adds such a gorgeous warm sheen to your cheeks nothing sparkly or glittery
just a gorgeous warm glow which finishes the look perfectly.
I had such a fun
time getting made up and all the girls were super lovely and knowledgeable
about their products and even on my face chart my hair was shaded pink which I
thought was a lovely touch, if you're around Manchester I really suggest you
pop in for some pampering because they're such good fun to be around and the
products are fantastic. The new Power of Love products are lovely introductions into your makeup collection and I haven't put mine down since I got them.
That lip shade is gorgeous! Loving you hair like this btw.
