Hey Ladies,
So i've been wanting to try Philip Kingsley Elasticizer for ever, i have used Philip Kingsley shampoo before & loved it, it made my hair squeeky clean & it felt so lightweight whenever i used it & smelt like those old sweets parma violets if anyone remembers them!
Anyway so on to the Elasticizer
They Say
Elasticizer should always form part of your routine to continuously improve or maintain the quality and behaviour of your hair. Extremely broken, damaged hair – whether the result of chemical over processing, physical trauma or poor health, will also improve with concentrated use of Elasticizer
What I Say
This is quite expensive first off at £23.50 for 150ml or £48 for 500ml (taken from hqhair.com) so i decided to buy a little packet of it from ebay for around £4 to test it out before committing to a full size. My first impressions is that it has no smell at all & i was so baffled i sniffed & smelled til i nearly passed out, seriously its smellless! which i love because when you have a hair mask on the smell initially can be bliss but if you've got it on an hour it can be annoying after a while.
So on to the formula its very thick & coats the hair unlike some conditioning treatments which i feel go to nothing dont know if thats a good or a bad thing! And i found a little goes a long way so the tub should last a bit longer than other brands.
You are supposed to wet your hair, apply the elasticizer & leave it on 10 - 15 mins & then shampoo & condition your hair as normal. So i wetted my locks, applied, clingfilmed it & left it on a good hour and a half, mainly because i couldnt be arsed to wash it out!
So the results, i think its a good treatment, my hair felt in really good condition and bouncy & uber soft, there is a new extreme elasticizer which i'm going to be trying out as well so i'll let you know if its any different.
The question i always ask myself with deep conditioning treatments, do the results justify the cost? i'm not sure with this, i am going to try it out a few more times but so far no, i can get similar results from other less expensive products so time will tell.
Thanks for reading & if you've got any questions comments please leave them below!!!
Love Ya!!

ReplyDeleteThis sounds nice - Phillip Kingsley stuff is very pricey though! Handy to be able to get sachets and stuff on ebay - no small print either! Impressive lol x
