Want Flawless Skin? b•liv by Cellnique Review

Sunday 20 February 2011

Hey Ladies,

I was approached by b•liv about a month ago to try out some of their items, well out of the three I was sent I have been using two of them (I stuck with my regular moisturiser instead of the Oil Leviate I was sent, I am going to experiment with using over my moisturiser as a mattifyer & will let you know the results)

First of all my skin is oily over the T-Zone & dry in places particularly around the mouth, after a bad bout of dry skin a year ago I swore I'd never use any harsh skin care again, well these products promised so much I decided to have a sabbatical on my new skin care principles (I'm fickle like that).

First of all I started using the Squeaky Clean Cleanser which is a funny looking green gel filled with tiny beads.
They say:

'This ultra-gentle exfoliating cleansing gel added with micro-beads helps you kick out impurities and remove excessive oil. The cleanser lets you say ‘hi” to clean pores and “bye” to those heads by making blackheads and whiteheads removal simple'

First of all the smell is really fresh and mentholly (if that's a word) which is great in the morning to get you woken up or if you've got a cold. Initially I thought it would dry my skin out but having used it for about a month I have to say it hasn't at all, which may be to do with the fact that I stuck with my regular moisturiser but my skin doesn't feel stripped after using it. I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin but if you have normal to combination or oily skin this would be great for you, it has reduced the oil in my T-Zone significantly without drying out the rest of my skin.

It's priced at $25 which I think is a very reasonable price just be aware you would need a separate eye make-up remover with this it would probably sting your eyes, as I use the double cleansing method with an oil based cleanser to remove makeup it was easy to fit into my routine.

After using the cleanser for a week without any troubles from it I proceeded to use the treatment they sent me Off With Those Heads
They Say:

'Say goodbye to painful squeezing! This light cooling gel promises to remove stubborn blackheads and whiteheads painlessly in just 14 days of application and stop them from appearing ever again. It keeps excessive oil secretion under control and skin irritation will never rule again.'

It is a clear gel that you apply to your face after cleansing, I love the mentholly peppermint smell & along with the cooling sensation it really wakes you up & opens up your lungs. I don't know about the claim of blackheads & Whiteheads never appearing again, but I can confirm that the reduction in the blackheads & whiteheads on my face has been truly significant. I am not rid of everything yet but this problem has been going on for years, yes foundation basically covers them but when I have no makeup on I am conscious of them so never go out without makeup, the combination of this & the cleanser has truly managed to rid me of 80% of my skin troubles. I absolutely love the stuff and now will not be without it, I haven't had any spots appearing since I started using the Off With Those Heads either double bonus! (although I don't get too many of them)

It costs $49 for 30mls which isn't quite expensive but isn't cheap but I am definitely going to be buying it when my current tube runs out, I really feel it has made a difference to my skin.

I now really want to try the products designed for large pores & just to let you know b•liv have free worldwide shipping if you were worried about the shipping costs, check them out on Facebook.

If you've got any questions follow me on Twitter & ask away!! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend, I shall be filming some YouTube videos tomorrow so let me know if you've got any requests!

Yes I was sent these products but I wouldn't be talking about them to you if I didn't use them & love them! It never affects my opinion!!
