Urban Decay Yawn, Hello Bobbi Brown!

Hey Ladies,

Well the Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 is officially out and am I the only one who is completely underwhelmed by it? It looks the exact same as the 1st one except there's a black in it & the shades are in a different order.

I owned the first one & like everyone else loved it but it slowly made its into the back of my makeup drawer because sometimes too much choice is a bad thing & I never reached for it & when I did, I used one shade! (Sidecar .. why you gotta be so sparkly?) So it got sold!!

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Bobbi Brown Neon & Nude Palette

Say hello to the Bobbi Brown Neon & Nude palette, this I will own, it is just the perfect mix of nude & sparkly shades in a compact that can actually fit in my make up bag & be used everyday. I rarely use more than one eyeshadow at once as my eyes look better bright & simple with a bit of liner, each one of these would be perfect for that look & a darker shade if i'm feeling adventurous. To me this sums the brands up, Urban Decay all about choice & young & hip & Bobbi Brown chic & classic understated sophistication! The Bobbi Brown collection isn't out in the UK yet but is in the US & the palette retails for $45, I don't have the UK price but it'll be released this month some time!! Sometimes less is more!! What do you think? Will you be owning the Naked 2 palette or already have run out & bought it?

  1. AHHH NICOLA! Thanks so much for posting this - that Bobbi Brown palette HAS to be mine when it is released! It looks like the perfect neutral palette for me. I barely use my Naked palette, so I won't be investing in Naked 2.. x

  2. I am going to confess something. I too am a little bored by the naked palette. I've never owned anything by bobby brown as it is way too expensive for my earnings but this little palette looks ace. For me the ultimate deciding factor will be if this palette has some matte or will be mainly shimmery like the naked palette.

    1. It looks mainly shimmer, I've updated the post to include a link to the description of shades, I think 2 of them are matte & 4 are shimmer, Bobbi Brown do produce gorgeous eyeshadows so it'll be a good place to start!!

  3. I have bought Naked 2, but I got a lot of use out of Naked 1 - and have almost used up loads of the shades, so it was worth it for me. However, loving the look of the Neon & Nude palette too - Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier always suck me in with their palettes!

  4. Oh my god the Bobbi Brown palette looks gorgeous!
The Naked 2 palette doesn't interest me AT ALL. If it was released before the original Naked palette I don't think there'd be so much hype because it's a bit... bla.
But the Neon and Nude palette, wow! x

  5. Im feel the same about the Naked Palettes, almost went out and bought them because of the "hype" surrounding it but when I actually looked at the colours I realised that cool tones don't suit me and the naked 2 is full of them! This Bobbi Brown palette on the other hand..... HELLO!

  6. I am also completely underwhelmed by the Naked 2 Palette, I got it through the Debenhams Beauty Club and when it arrived I was really disappointed with it so I promptly gave it to my mum without even bothering to test out any of the shades. The Bobbi Brown Palette on the otherhand looks amazing and I can't wait for it to be released here, it will definitely be a beauty must-have for me :)

  7. i do have the naked 2 palette (i am so sorry) although i havent actually opened it yet. I have a serious soft spot for BB and this palette looks gorgeous, i dont think as a brand it is raved about enough, i suppose BB isnt as young and cool as other brands like UD, MAC etc...

  9. As someone who doesn't own either of the UD Naked palettes... I must say... Bobbi Brown is winning! You know I need to get at least one of the above and the Bobbi Brown palette is simple, no fuss!
