REVIEW: @neutrogenauk Hydro Boost Hydrogel Recovery Mask
Sunday, 19 August 2018
I seem to focus my sheet mask reviews on obscure korean masks that are a pain to get hold of so I thought I'd review some high street brands that are accessible and affordable.
Claims: A proven super hydrator made from 100% hydrogel enriched with HA and delivering the equivalent of one 30ml bottle of serum to your skin.
Price: £3.50
Suitable For: Dehydrated, Dry, Normal, Oily Skins.
Thoughts: I really enjoyed this mask, the introduction of a hydrogel mask to the high street is a welcome one as I love them and not many brands make them, in general I find them more hydrating because they don't dry out as the essence is absorbed by your skin, so you can keep them on longer.
The Hydroboost mask is like a drink for the skin, it hydrates and plumps and fits perfectly as it comes in two separate pieces that clings to your skin without moving around. I think Neutrogena played down their formulation by only describing it containing HA, this mask has a couple of great ingredients which are higher in the ingredient list like seaweed extract, a skin conditioner which is also packed with vitamins and minerals and snow fungus, a supposedly superior naturally occurring hyaluronic acid which also supresses melanin helping with pigmentation.
This is a great addition to Neutrogena’s Hydroboost family and there are two other sheet masks in the range if hydration isn't your main concern, this is a quick pick me up for the skin when it's in need of a treat and is so easy to get hold of in a skin-mergency.
